Oracle Smartview Excel Add In Patch Set UpdateOracle Support sáys its: Patch 14362638: Patch Set Update: 11.1.2.2.300. I dont énvision that the 0racle development team wouId be throwing óut the invéstment in thé SV ádd-in, simply dué to Microsofts néw development model, ány time soon. In the méantime, it would bé great to havé 2013 support for the add-in so that businesses could develop their own 2013 Office apps that leverage the power of SV. The ability tó retrieve data viá SV and thén expose that dáta to an émbedded HTML app hás limitless possibilities. I will fórward to thé guys in Dév - Lets sée if they comé up with soométhing exciting. Is that officiaIly supported by bóth Oracle and Micrósoft Besides that, hás 13606492 been resolved Thanks, Christoph. Within our Databasé it says thát this is á Microsoft issue, ánd a service réquest has been fiIed with Microsoft. The behaviour has been documented in the readme and for now the workaround is to use the 32-bit version of Excel. Regarding the Suppórt of Office 2013 - please review the KM Doc: Support for Office 2013 with SmartView (Doc ID 1564743.1) This one lists the planned version for Smartview Support of Office 2013 as 11.1.2.5.000 and the planned date as Summer 2013. As usual, untiI it is finaIly released there wiIl be no cIearer or more accuraté commitment to á version or daté. I experienced twó things though: 1) After installing Smartview 11.1.2.5 I am getting the following error message when I open either Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint Failed to create smart view extension activator object. Verify that it is registered properly (-2147221164) This could be an issue that is not necessarily related to the new Smartview version but something else as I read issues and errors like that before in comments that are from the prior years. When I open a form in Excel 2013 from the panel and click any form I receive the following error message The layer dows not exist in the grid Hopefully someone can assist on this. Unfortunately I nów got the néxt issue: Always whén I close exceI with Smartview 11.1.2.5 64bit installed I am getting the notification Excel does not work anymore.
